Child Poverty Action Group is a volunteer-powered organisation
Join our passionate team of volunteers, who are committed to ending child poverty in Aotearoa.
At Child Poverty Action Group (CPAG), our volunteers play a vital role in building awareness, influencing change and amplifying the voices of children and whānau across New Zealand. Whether you’re passionate about advocacy, community organising, fundraising or education, there are many ways to get involved.
Volunteers can:
• Get involved in our regional networks
• If you are a student, start a CPAG group at your place of study / educational institution
• Lead peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives
• Organise local events, discussions and campaigns about child poverty and CPAG’s work at your own discretion with CPAG’s input
• Help mobilise communities and connect people to advocacy opportunities
You don’t need prior experience – we’ll support you with advocacy kits and training resources (including draft letters to MPs, narratives training, campaign materials and practical tools to help you speak confidently about issues relating to child poverty).
This is an opportunity to build skills, connect with like-minded people and contribute to meaningful social change. Together, we can create a future where every child in Aotearoa has what they need to thrive.
If you would like to discuss how you would like to contribute your passion and enthusiasm to our mahi, please get in touch with Nisha Novell, Operations & Supporter Care Officer, at admin@cpag.org.nz.
Without the generosity of CPAG’s volunteers, offering their time and expertise, we would not be able to progress our vision of an Aotearoa where all children flourish free from poverty.
